Team CVR will not only highlight our objectives, but promote corporate & social responsibility, then we can all move towards climate change that will have a positive effect on the environment and our children of the future.
The team will showcase to commerce & community that Carbon Neutral Racing will help produce cars that are reliable, more efficient and environmentally friendly, but most importantly drive home the message that we need to take action towards climate change NOW and it needn’t cost the EARTH !!!
The team takes its environmental and sustainability obligations very seriously.
While most teams in BTCC are reliant on the consumption of fossil fuels, Team CVR will be running its race cars on E85 Bio-Ethanol, whilst providing the automotive sector with one of the most accessible R&D platforms in which to shape the future with green and clean transport fuel and technology. Team CVR have two broad roles to perform, namely, to be a catalyst to speed development beyond the natural pace of the market and secondly, to provide a promotional platform for the communication and enhanced adoption of efficient fuel and vehicle technologies.
Team CVR will be participating in a wide range of other environmental activities including a carbon neutrality programme covering not just the emissions from our race cars but the entire teams activities, from the team transportation and test, qualifying and race mileage to the team's personnel's activities, This programme will be maintained by our team partner "co2balance"
Team CVR is committed to the highest environmental standards in its own right, seeking to minimise material waste, enhance recycling and repurposing where achievable and reducing its environmental footprint in its local community. Team personnel actively engage in these important activities.
Individual initiatives include:-
- Increased efficiencies and cost savings through recycling programmes
- Paper waste products are recycled or shredded
- All metallic scrap will be sorted and recycled
- All cleaning products used by the team will bio-friendly
- Energy Survey commissioned by the Carbon Zero Group to evaluate energy consumption and reduction opportunities.
Official EEMS Campaign Partner The Energy Efficient Motorsport Programme (EEMS) is a Government programme whose vision is to work with the UK motorsport industry to put energy efficiency at the heart of modern motorsport by stimulating the use of sustainable technologies and fuels. At every level of the industry, there are organisations which are actively embracing energy efficiency. Through the EEMS Campaign Partner Initiative, organisations such as Team CVR have, for the first time, the opportunity to demonstrate their pro-active commitment towards energy efficiency and sustainability.
